Tom Brady's Warped Vision

If you want to hear a load of crap, just ask Tom Brady (pictured left. It is unclear if the mouse is disrespecting him.) to speak. The New England Patriots quarterback had to be kidding when he lofted this garbage into the air:

"I think we've been probably disrespected more than any team in the league this year," Brady said. "I think we've been given up on by a lot of media people, a lot of fans, our own fans, other people around the league, and I think if there's one team that feels like they're disrespected it's us."

Are the Patriots so devoid of motivation that they have to manufacture this stuff to get their blood going? Is the quest for an unprecedented 3rd straight Super Bowl title not enough?

He has to be kidding. He was just named Sportsman of the Year by Sports Illustrated. The Pats have won 3 of the last 4 titles. Despite their #4 seed, most experts are saying they are the 2nd best AFC team. Disrespected?!?

Want to know who's disrespected? How about their opponents? Jacksonville is 12-4, 2 games better than New England. I haven't heard anyone pick them to win (not even me). Las Vegas has the Pats as a touchdown favorite over a team that won 2 games more than they did. That sure is a ton of disrespect.

And what about the Pats disrespect for Jacksonville? It's pretty obvious that New England wasn't trying real hard to beat Miami this past weekend. Attempting drop kicks...throwing game-tying PAT attempts out of bounds...the Pats weren't exactly scratching and clawing to get to the 3 seed and a date with Pittsburgh. We all know they wanted to play Jacksonville. And that's fine, I can't say I blame them. But that's a lot of disrespect to the Jags in itself.

It won't happen, but I'd love- love- to see the Jaguars oust New England. Tom Brady wants to find out what disrespect is...then he'd find out.
